Hung Up On DeHaan

- I've been really bad with my film watching recently. We've been in March for a full week and I've only watched one film.
- That film was Kill Your Darlings and I've been on a come-down for quite a while after seeing Dane DeHaan gay it up. I'm legitimately in love with him. He could play the biggest maniac//sociopath and I'd still go there. TBH all he seems to play is maniacs and sociopath's so yeah, I'd still go there.
- In more Dane-related news, I stumbled onto some pictures of him on the set of Life, where he's playing fellow babe James Dean. I've not been overly convinced by this casting, he could clearly act the shit out of playing James Dean but I'm not sure he can look like him.
- He looks great here though. Still not overly Jimmy D-like, but better than I expected.

(Finger-sucking scene from Kill Your Darlings that actually almost killed me)

- The new Annie adaptation has a trailer and it looks terrible.
- My expectations were low but it didn't even meet those. Quvenzhané doesn't look to be bringing any of that wonderful charm she had in Beasts of the Southern Wild and they've clearly made an effort to make the songs sound contemporary, but they sound like crappy covers.
-And seriously, Cameron Diaz looks terrible. I didn't understand that casting in the first place but she's just giving too much camp//OTT ridiculousness in this trailer. It's cringeworthy.
- A much better trailer came in the form of the new Arkham Knight announcement.
- I know it's not film related, but I'm crazy for this franchise and this trailer is fantastic and has got me so amped for the new game. I'm going to have to give in and buy a PS4 so I can get this.

Gremlins and Other Worlds

I'm going to see Bastille in Manchester tonight!!!
(I'm very excited!)

- Did everybody see my boyf on the cover of Empire this week?! This is seriously one of the best covers that magazine has ever had and it's all for my most anticipated film of the summer.
- Speaking of the giant-radioactive beastie, he got an incredible new trailer. The voice-over dialogue from Bryan Cranston is just incredible and is making me so so so excited for this to come out. Plus, we get a good ol' look at his mug at the end of the trailer and he's looking awesome! May cannot come soon enough.
- The trailer has also managed to become the subject of my absolute favourite cross-over photo set on Tumblr right now. This shit is hilarious and brilliant.
- I'm now on season 4 of Breaking Bad, I'm absolutely hooked and getting anxious that there's not actually much left before I've finished it for good.
- I've finally watched every film up for Best Picture on Sunday. It's taken me far too long to get around to it, and I'm worried I won't have chance to get them all reviewed before I start forgetting everything I want to say about each of them, but I've at least seen them all.
- Lupita absolutely killed me in 12 Years A Slave. If JLaw wins over her for Supporting Actress I'm going to rage.

Ghostface and the Last Supper

- So Maleficent got yet another new trailer that showcased Lana Del Rey's beautiful version of Once Upon A Dream. It's perfect and I love it. I fell asleep on Monday with it playing on repeat and when I woke up I'd listened to it 123 times, so I may have been hypnotised into loving it.
- Empire's new issue has 25 different covers showcasing the whole cast of Days of Future Past, and they look terrible. Whoever designed these really needs to resign because some of these are seriously the ugliest costumes I've seen. They're worse than the Bat-nipple fiasco.
- I mean look at Evan Peters. What is that?!
- American Horror Story's third season finished this week. It was my favourite season so far and the finale did not disappoint. It actually reminded me of the Buffy finale, which was nice.
- People on Tumblr have noticed how the dresses that the actresses wore for the Emmy's indicated their fates in the show, which was brilliant.
- Rumours for season four have been floating around recently and suggesting that there may be a 1950's  Circus setting. I absolutely love that idea, if only because I'm actually pretty scared of the Circus and clowns in particular, so it would surely be the scariest season so far for me.
- I'm still no closer to working my way through the Oscar nominees so February's going to be a busy month.
